Chicken Pox!

Or not so much! Kyra exploded with a bunch of dots that initially looked like bug bites. We learned that a few girls in her class came down with the same thing and after one of them went to the doctor and was diagnosed with Chicken Pox, the four girls were immediately pulled from class. I took Kyra in the next day to see her favorite pediatrician in the whole world, who took cultures of her pox dots and said that it was probably more of a fungus type infection, more than likely coming from a hot tub! Kyra and her classmates were at slumber party the weekend before playing in a hot tub and half of them came down with the infection! It was very similar to the pox but also looked a bit like acne. It really was a simple case of not enough chlorine in the hot tub for all the girls and after a free day off from school, all the girls returned back to school. Luckily, they didn't have to take any antibiotics and the dots faded away to nothing.
